Studio for Art and Art
Restoration “Keramos” began its activities
in the city of Palermo in the year 2001 under the directorship
of Francesco Bertolino, master restorer
graduated from the Institute of Art And Art Restoration in
Florence, italy. The studio is dedicated to the restoration
of ceramic, stone, painting, and wax pieces, both of archeological
and aesthetic interest.

Graduated in Ceramic Restoration at "Istituto per l'Arte
e il Restauro" in Florence, Italy.
Director
of "Studio d'arte e restauro Keramòs", a restoration
laboratory in Palermo.
He
is an expert in ceramic restoration, archeological restoration
and aesthetic restoration. |
Experiences

During the academic year 1999-'00, He has worked in a survey and
partial restoration of Santa Catalina Jesuit Complex (UNESCO World
Heritage Monument) in Argentina directed by Prof. Robert Winter,
Head of the Art
Program at the School of Fine Arts Lenoir-Rhyne University
College, North Carolina, U.S.A.
Since year
2000 he is the Vice-President of
the International
Cultural Association Athenaeum.
He has
worked in the restoration on stone works inside the English Monumental
Cemetery "Porta a' Pinti" in Florence, in the biennium
2000-2001.
He has partecipated with Archeological Mission in Turkey, directed
by Dr. Fede Berti, Head of Archeological Museum of Ferrara, Italy
(September 2001).
He was
collaborated with Prof. Luigi Donati, University of Florence, to
restore archeological objects (January-August 2001).
He has
taught, as visiting professor, a course in ceramic restoration in
Lenoir-Rhyne University College, North Carolina, U.S.A (March-April
of 2002).
Now he
is working with the major of the City of Gerace (Italy) to organize
and direct a restoration course.
Has conducted an Archeological Restoration Workshop at the Hickory
Museum of Art (Hickory, NC, USA). The workshop, which was sponsored
by HMA, Lenoir-Rhyne's Art Program and Athenaeum International,
included a slide lecture covering restoration of works of art, materials,
restoration techniques and a direct demonstration of restoration
intervention of a ceramic object (February 2003).
